CHARTER ON THE BEACH MIDDLE SCHOOL
Students Speak Up!
School Overview
Charter on the Beach Middle School will provide students with a world-class learning environment through its innovative teaching techniques, emphasis on parental and community involvement and a highly qualified and motivated faculty. Our challenging curriculum and small class size are designed to prepare children for lives of leadership in a rapidly changing world.
Mission: Provide each student with the freedom to grow intellectually, morally, emotionally and physically.
Charter on the Beach Middle School was ideated in 2005 as an alternative to the current, and only, free education option in Miami Beach for seventh and eight graders. The school combines a world-class teaching and development philosophy, personalized learning, and a highly qualified and motivated faculty to help students maximize their development during this period of unprecedented emotional, intellectual and physical change.
The 10 year Charter to develop and operate the school was approved by the Miami-Dade County School Board.
We are officially opening our doors on August 20th, 2007.
The school is located at 1211-1219 Marseilles Drive in revitalized Normandy Island in a 12 classroom converted building on the inter-coastal.
Charter on the Beach is FREE and is open to all 7th and 8th graders in Miami Beach and Miami-Dade regardless of race, sex or socio-economic background, we do not discriminate.
